Varun Mohan

Varun Mohan is the co-founder and CEO of Codeium (now Windsurf), an AI code acceleration platform with over 1 million users. Born and raised in Sunnyvale, California to Indian immigrant parents, Varun earned both his BS and MEng in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT. Before founding Codeium in 2021, he worked at Nuro (autonomous vehicles), Quora, LinkedIn, Databricks, and Samsung. Varun's focus on making AI coding tools accessible and free has disrupted the AI developer tools market, positioning Codeium as a leading alternative to GitHub Copilot.
